“ We made reservations for Christmas night. Very smart choice as it was a 2 -3 hour wait if not. The food that passed while we waited looked delicious and smelled good. It was noisy due to the very large crowd waiting to be seated. You order on a tablet and the waiter comes by to verify age for the liquor purchase. He reviewed the order and sent it. The dishes came out as they were made so everything was hot. It was hard to catch the waiter's attention when we wanted to order more drinks but due to the volume it was understandable. However, one dish did not make it to our table. But the time we were able to let him know we were ready to go. We asked for to go containers and requested it be taken off the bill. He said it was already made but we declined and insisted on a credit which he finally agreed to. Drinks were good unless you wanted shots as they were small. We would go back as the food was good and during a less crowded time. ”

“ I can here with my family on Thanksgiving. The restaurant was very busy, but we were seated in minutes since we had a reservation. Service was prompt and friendly, although I wish they would have run us through the ordering process a little more as it was our first time here. We tried a bunch of different items from the dim sum menu and liked everything, but the highlights were the Sui Mai, Soup Dumplings, Pork Buns, and the Deep Fried Shrimp Rolls. Everything came out hot and fresh. The restaurant is reasonably priced. I can't wait to go back. ”

“ This is a terrific place for Chinese cuisine novices (like me). Ming Hin has a terrific menu of many Cantonese favorites, and the menu sheets have clear illustrations of each item. Waiters are quick to answer questions about the menu. Two other qualities to note. First, our food was served amazingly quickly. Don't know how they do that with a huge menu. Secondly, our food wasn't greasy, oily. I've eaten some Chinese that smells like cheap oil, and that ain't good. This is much lighter, fresher stuff. I can't think of anything more this place could have done. Go here. ”

“ I've heard this place was really good so I decided to check it out. It was good! I've had more flavorful and succulent dim sim, but each dish was pretty solid. We got the dim sim staples: siu mai, ha gao, etc. We also got the preserved eggs and pork congee, and it was very good. BUT, I wouldn't get their juicy pork dumplings (xiao long bao). The skin broke when we tore it off of the aluminum holder so we lost all the soup for each one we ate because it spilled out. I wouldn't recommend getting that dish there. The ambience was nice; it's a good place to take visitors from out of town. The staff was so nice; our waiters and waitresses were attentive and friendly. Sometime I wish I had known before going there was that there IS indeed a parking lot right in front this plaza! If the lot is full, there is one nearby with a Chinatown parking lot for a good price (we didn't know that so winded up doing street parking and paying more than we needed to). After you come out walking very full, you can roam around and about the little plaza with other restaurants and dessert places. I loved where it was located! Overall, a place I would recommend trying out. ”

“ I was genuinely surprised by how good this dim sum spot was! We came during lunch time on a wednesday and it was definitely crowded, but we still managed to get seated immediately. We ordered a ton of items to share - garlic pea tips, chicken scallop bao, deep fried pork dumplings, beef rice noodle rolls, pork chestnut dumplings, woodear mushroom dumplings, shumai, pork ribs, soup dumplings, and pineapple salted egg yolk lava buns. Everything was so delicious! I especially loved the pork chestnut and woodear mushroom dumplings, as well as the deep fried pork puffs. We all loved the pineapple salted egg yolk lava buns too - they were the perfect creamy sweetness with the nice salted egg yolk flavor. We were absolutely stuffed and happy after this meal. Service was super quick as well, so all was great! ”

“ Really solid place! - Parking can be tricky on Friday or Saturday night. There is a public lot for paid parking across the plaza, or you could try your luck with street parking (be careful for no tow zones - they really are strict with tickets) - Interior is nicely decorated and very spacious, great for large groups & parties if you're bringing a lot of people - Ordering is done efficiently - dim sum by paper & the rest of the orders by an iPad - My favorites were the salt & pepper tofu and the green beans with minced meat. - Hong Kong style lobster was disappointing, it had minimal flavor to it and the minced meat that came with it added very little to the flavor profile. - Fried crab - I would not get again. More like oily breaded increments than anything. Overall, I understand the hype & am excited to come back to try different dishes! Perhaps seafood is not their specialty and I am willing to try again. ”

“ The best dim sum that I have ever had. A variety of dishes and no wonder this place is on the Michelin Guide--everything was fantastic. The chicken feet, duck wings, and many other dishes left method tummy feeling fulfilled and joyful. The wait can be long even with the large seating, but a party of two can get seated quicker for sure. ”

“ We came here for dinner during a work trip to Chicago. Our hotel wasn't too far from here, so we walked here around dinner time. The servers were very helpful and we decided to order dim sum for dinner, for some reason, we craved dim sum. The place was not too noisy and only half full during weekday, not sure if it gets busy during weekend. We order a variety of items to try, and we recommend shrimp dumpling, shrimp dumpling with chives, and vegetable rice noodle. Other items we got, such as green vege, congee, braised beef, bbq pork bun were just ok. We have tried dim sum from some major cities, like Seattle, San Francisco, New York, and so on. In comparison, this place is average among dim sum places we have been to. ”
